Sweet, sweet summertime

So it's been awhile since I've posted and lots has happened these past few weeks!

Well we recently found out our little jelly bean is a BABY BOY!

We are thrilled and surprised all at the same time. I really thought it was going to be a girl but I'm so excited for a baby boy. I keep thinking how I'm going to have a sweet reminder of my husband running around. And Justin is beyond thrilled to be having a mini me!

I feel so blessed to have a great husband who is so very talented and smart and has so many great skills to pass on to a little boy! (Though, I know he would of been just has thrilled to have a girl!)

So we have been on a high these past few weeks from just getting the news that we are indeed having a boy. We have spent the last two weekends getting the nursery ready. We have the babys crib, a wonderful comfortable nursing/rocking chair for me to sleep in and a few baby clothes and linens from Pottery Barn Kids. The nursery is so sweet and calming! I will definitely post pictures soon.

As for the 4th of July we spent it with some great friends at their new house (down the road from us!) We had a crab, shrimp and crawfish boil!

It was delicious and spicy and wonderful. Afterwards, Justin and I went downtown to Land Rover to stand on the 3rd floor of the garage to watch the fireworks over Lake Austin, but due to the long day we retired early. It was a great weekend :)

Though, I do believe this weekend topped the list! Thursday night my mom came in town and we went to dinner at Uncle Billy's on Barton Springs with Mom, Chelsea, Carter, Me and Justin. Then Friday I spent the whole day with Mom and Carter. Mom also got to see my house and our nursery and she loved it. That night we went to eat Mexican food at Polvo's on 1st street and Saturday we spent the day on the lake watching Justin wakeboard. I loveeee being on the lake with my husband! I also love watching him ride. He makes it look so easy and he's a natural. He's definitely in his element while on the water. And I was glad mom was there to watch him ride. I think the more time she spends with Justin, the more she falls in love with him as well. We got lunch on the lake at Ski Shores and then that night me and Justin got ready for our first bbq on the new grill!

We had mom and Carter come over, Warren, Amanda and Carolyn. We cooked our burgers, grilled corn on the cob, and bbq chicken! It was delicious! And the house looks great and so did the backyard that is now full of new flowers and plants we've been planting for the last month or two.

The night was filled with great conversation and Wii games! And then Sunday we woke up and went to church and mom really enjoyed our church and our preacher. After church, Justin treated mom and I to a delicious brunch at Paggi House.

Once our bellies were full of grits, bacon and fruits...we napped all day and watched movies until dinner was ready! Mom made Justin's favorite, meatloaf! With mashed potatoes and green bean casserole and homemade cookies!

Needless to say, we had a weekend filled with GREAT, great food! Wonderful family time, and amazing friend time and the lazy life on the lake!

Our weekend was so wonderful and blessed...and waking up this morning--Justin and I talked about how life is really wonderful for us. We are in an amazing place in life, with crazy big changes on the way, but we are learning to depend on God and be thankful for His blessings and everyday our love for Him and one another grows more and more.

I feel truly blessed and grateful for my sweet husband and family we are starting together!

Now, if only he's let me get a pet! ;)

Haha! He says I have a baby on the way, that should be enough. Maybe he's right, but we'll see!

Well, until next time!! All the best.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Knuth
